  • Overview

    The Night Clerk provides clerical, operational, and/or general support for the warehouse office operations. This position's shift will start at 2:00 pm central time and end around midnight.

    Responsibilities

    Performs any combination of following tasks to compile records concerned with orders, pick tickets and shipments: Compiles data from sources, such as shipment orders, pick tickets, invoices, and requisitions; enters information into computer to maintain picking, shipping, drops or other records.

     

    May have to handle, carry, or deliver product; or move product throughout the warehouse using material handling equipment.

     

    Responsible for general sanitation duties to include clean-up of general work areas.

    Qualifications

    This is a manual handling, labor intensive job. Considerable strength and endurance is required to safely and successfully perform this job. These strength and endurance demands are due to the weight of the merchandise handled and the frequency with which it is handled. The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in cooler and freezer compartments where the worker is exposed to cold and very cold temperatures.

     

    Must have computer skills: MS Office (including Word, Outlook & Excel)

    Must have organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

    Must have a good attention to detail, articulation, data entry skills, and general math skills.

    Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent knowledge/education.

    Must have the ability to take direction, comprehend instructions and work well with others.

    Must pass a material handling test.

    Must pass a pallet jack test and be able to handle warehouse equipment.
